Reeya
Reeya gracefully carries her identity as Indian American. Born and brought up in the Boston area, Reeya is proud of her Indian heritage and does everything she can to connect with her familiy’s roots. She volunteers with the Indian Family Network and assists in teaching at the Vidyanjali School of dance when possible. She also co initiated a program called Enliven to bridge the gap between youth and elders through art and culture. Reeya enjoys travel, art and connecting with people of different backgrounds. She also enjoys playing the violin, playing lacrosse, skiing and skating.
Reeya started learning Bharatanatyam at the age of 5 with Smt. Anandini Chandra Sekhar. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to perform at various events and festivals, presenting this beautiful dance in the most authentic ways.
Reeya is currently a sophomore attending Boston University Academy and lives in Newton with her parents and older brother, Ajay.
